He Is RIsen

Thank you so much for following the blog this Lent.  When I started writing I could not have anticipated things going quite the way they have gone.  But God has not changed over these past weeks.  If anything He has come more into focus in more peoples lives across the world than ever.
Today, apparently, President Trump has asked for an Easter service to be broadcast across the whole of the States to over a billion people on Fox News.  Yesterday I was listening to question time on Radio 4.  Three of the four pannelists professed a faith in God and spoke up for the positive effects faith can have in a time of crisis.  The Queen has twice this week broadcast a message of hope, her Easter speech being a very direct exhortation for us all to look to the light of the world.  It seems to me that God's voice is getting a chance to be heard in these days like it hasn't been for many years.  Church services will be broadcast today over social media, giving people who would never normally dream of setting foot in a church building the opportunity to ' test drive' church in their own homes.

It's all rather exciting.  As we celebrate the day when Jesus defied expectations, the laws of physics and the bounds of possibility, let us remember that He is the same today as He was then.  He is still in the business of busting out of places where he has been buried and appearing in rooms with locked doors.   Let's believe that this Easter He will walk into the places our unsaved friends and relatives are sitting, and show them the wounds in His hands and side.    Come Lord Jesus.
